Bad for Women.

Bad for Arizona.

This November, we urge all Arizona voters to VOTE NO ON PROP 139

Dangerous.

Prop 139 will cause women great harm by making critical safeguards for care impossible to enforce.

Bad Healthcare.

Prop 139 would remove doctors from the doctor-patient relationship and strip away common sense safety precautions that women currently benefit from under the law.

Section 3-A-2 of the amendment uses the term "treating health care professional," not "doctor" or "physician" when addressing abortion providers and who can sign off on late-term abortions. Under Arizona law (32-3201) a "health care professional” includes podiatrists, chiropractors, dentists, pharmacists, etc. This vague language opens the door to a minor girl getting the abortion pill from the school nurse without parents knowing.

Purely Political.

Prop 139 opens the door for people who aren’t even doctors to determine that a woman “needs” an abortion – and puts politics ahead of empowering Arizona doctors to serve Arizona women.
